My approach  & style

How I see you:

I see you as resilient, brave, and fully capable of working toward the quality of life that matters to you. My role isn't to decide what that life should look like. It's to help you identify what matters to you and support you as you work toward it.

My clinical background: I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, and evidence-based approaches for substance use and anger management. While these approaches provide valuable tools, I don't believe therapy should feel one-size-fits-all. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, and I welcome your feedback about what's helpful, what isn't, and the style and pace of our work together.

My clinical approach

I believe we can pick ourselves back up and keep moving forward, even after we stumble. I believe slow and steady can win the race—and that fruit on the same tree can ripen at different times. Baby steps and consistency can go a long way. Progress is valued over perfection.

I typically start by asking what you've already tried, whether in therapy or on your own, and what is no longer working—or isn't working as well as it once did. We'll also look at what is working and revisit things you may not have tried in a while.

From there, we'll work together to understand what may be keeping you feeling stuck while considering your needs, priorities, strengths, therapy goals, and what matters most to you. Rather than assuming there's one approach that works for everyone, we'll use that understanding to decide where to focus our work and which strategies may be most useful for you.

I also believe in being straightforward with you. If I don't have an answer, I'll tell you. When appropriate, I'll help you identify additional information or resources that may be useful. There may also be times when I suggest talking with your primary care provider or another specialist about whether a medical condition could be contributing to what you're experiencing.

Throughout our work, I'll support you in asking questions, advocating for yourself, and making informed decisions about your care.

Fees & insurance

I believe therapy should be accessible, and that you deserve clear information about costs, insurance options, and payment policies before making decisions about your care.

Below, you can explore the insurance plans I currently accept through Headway and SonderMind. If I am not in network with your insurance, I also offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments and can provide superbill documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement.

2026 Private Pay Rates

Insurance Options

I offer services that may be covered by insurance through online platforms. Insurance plans and coverage vary. Use the links below to view the insurance plans I currently accept through each platform and learn more about your coverage options.

Please call your insurance to verify your coverage for copay in advance of your initial appointment. Copay is due at the time of the appointment.

Sliding Scale

I recognize that financial circumstances are different for everyone. Sliding scale rates are intended to make therapy more accessible when the standard private pay rate would create a financial barrier.

Good Faith Estimates

You deserve to understand the cost of your care and make informed decisions about therapy. I believe in clear, transparent billing and helping you understand your financial responsibilities before services begin.

Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their care.

Billing Transparency

Third-Party Billing: If your services are scheduled or billed through a third-party platform, such as Headway or SonderMind, that platform may process your insurance claims, payments, cost estimates, or billing inquiries. Questions or disputes involving charges processed by the platform should generally be directed to the platform using its billing and support procedures. I will assist with questions related to the clinical services or charges for which I am responsible.

If you receive a bill that is significantly higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

Questions about cost are always welcome. My goal is for you to have clear information about fees and billing so you can make informed decisions about your care. I am committed to transparency and am happy to answer questions about fees, billing, or insurance options.

Because therapy is individualized, the exact number of sessions you may choose to attend cannot always be predicted. Your Good Faith Estimate will reflect the services and costs that can reasonably be anticipated based on the information available at the time. We can discuss fees, frequency of sessions, and changes in your care along the way.

What if I haven’t met my insurance deductible?

If your insurance plan has a deductible, you may be responsible for the full contracted cost of your sessions until your deductible has been met. After your deductible is met, your plan may begin paying a portion of the cost, and you may be responsible for a copay or coinsurance.

Your insurance company determines your deductible, coverage, and cost-sharing requirements. If your care is billed through a platform such as Headway or SonderMind, the platform can also provide information about the benefits and estimated costs associated with services billed through them.

A gentle reminder: Verification of insurance benefits is not a guarantee of payment. Your insurance company makes the final determination regarding coverage and payment when claims are processed.

My role: I provide timely, accurate clinical documentation that supports the medical necessity of your care and the services provided. While I cannot guarantee how an insurance company will process or cover a claim, I work to ensure that my documentation clearly reflects the clinical need for the services you receive.
